Kassi in Young Womens..
My little baby girl is growing up and tonight was introduced into the Young Women's program.. I had to write a little get to know you about her and decided it would be a good post for today as it sums up most of my thoughts for her today..
Tia Ko Be Pooka!!
On February 15th, 1999 a little angel was born in a province called Hung Yen in Vietnam to a very special woman name Leigh. She named her little angel Mai and then lovingly gave her to the care of an orphanage for adoption.
Two weeks later a picture was sent to our family with her paperwork to get things started to bring her home. Before we saw her picture we had gone through a series of events:
For about 5 years I had a dream that would be consistent and reoccur quite often. In the dream Savana and Kacee would be standing together and a little girl with big brown eyes and long dar hair would peek around their legs and smile. She was shy and cautious but obviously loved her two "sisters".
I shared the dream with my husband one day and to our surprise discovered that he was having the same dream as I was. We started looking at adoption shortly after. Different times for several years we would get close to picking up a child or for some reason or another be told that we couldn't have a particular child.
In 1998 Kacee, my 2nd daughter started having a dream about a little baby sister. She would continually tell us that it was time to go and get our little angle. One day, frustarted because of her persistance I told her that obviously she needed to pray about it because we had done everyting we could to get her here. Kacee's reply to me was "Mom, no, it is your turn to pray, I have."
About a week later a friend of mine called to tell me of an experience she had in the temple that she had felt impressed to share with me. I called Focus on Children the next month, which was January 1999. What should or normally takes about a year of paperwork and preparation through the government, to everyone's surprise was completed in about 3 weeks. On April 14th 1999 my husband and I were in a hotel room in Hanoii Vietnam anxiously waiting for someone to bring us our little angel. She came to us through a translator, her care giver and a wet nurse that had been hired to feed her on the way to the hotel. Wrapped in a frail worn out blanket, a hand sewn bonnet and a new bright yellow outfit a very tiny and weak baby girl with big dark brown eyes was carefully placed in the arms of her daddy for the very first time.
As we layed her on the bed she looked up and smiled the most adorable smile I felt that I had ever seen. The caregiver started to speak to us and was translated to that is the first time she has ever smiled and be careful with her as she is very weak.
Kassandra Elizabeth Mai Madsen was born on February 15th, 1999. She was named after my mum, Sandra, her sister Kacee starts her name and her middle name of Elizabeth is from her great grandma Elizabeth or "Beth" Cutler. Her given name of Mai is also shared as a middle name in honour of her birth mom.
She was born at 8 lbs. 8 oz but lost 4 pounds due to lack of nutrition in her first 2 months of life. Though she had a rough start, we know she was blessed and protected by the angels in those short 2 months.
Kassi is the youngest of 5 siblings and an aunt to 3 boys (1 being older than her) and 1 girl who is one of her best friends.
She loves to shop, play basketball and dance. She is very artistic and loves to read and text her freinds constantly. She is a constant model for her mom and sister while they are going to cosmetology school and is excited for her first runway show the end of this month.
Kassi loves the color blue, loves eggrolls and fried rice. Although she is tormented by her brothers she is definately stronger for it. Kassi took the challenge a couple of years ago to develop a "six pack" and currently does about 200 push ups each night and over 100 situps. She is also diligently working on her "spiritual sixpack" of reading the Book of Mormon, a goal given to her by her oldest brother Bug.
Kassi is dedicated, loving and a true friend to those she is friends with. She is shy until you get to know her and then watch out, she is loud and crazy and a ton of fun to be around.
Kassi is very excited to start Young Women's next month and even though her big brother doesn't want her to grow up she is and ready to be a Young Women with Values and share in these experiences.
We love you, Pooka, and hope that you have as much fun in Young Womens as we did.

I want to Live
I have always been a fan of John Denver and love his music. It speaks from my heart when I hear the words of some of his songs. This one is one of my favorites and shared to my son, Bug, from his dad in an email this week.

What a great end of the day!

Things that Make your heart...
Some things just make your heart ache.. today was one of those days... I saw a 22 year old hug his mom today and say I love you.. wow...what an impact those little actions can make.. I really miss that from all of my kids...
Another thing today was seeing an absolutely beautiful young lady tell me that she has never had anyone until today tell her sincerely how beautiful she is. Made me remember my childhood a little too much I must say.. But, so glad that when she said that I was the one that said those words to her and realized that I know that I have always told my own children how beautiful they each are especially deep in their souls.
We all do things throughout our lives that affect people every single moment of the day, sometimes I ache for those little moments that were created years ago when all my kids were home and protected from the world. The world can be so cruel.
Soo... what did I learn today.. I learned and reflected on the little things, some happy some saddened by life and the world. Hopefully this will be a better year of memories that make us happy and not so sad.

Almost Half way through
the week that is...the first week back at school/work I CAN DO THIS!!
Sometimes I think that there is so much I don't know how to make a step forward but, I am learning all over again and trying to do better at being happy, finding peace with myself and being more positive around those I am with. It can be a daunting task somedays, today included, but worth it hopefully.
Did some fun makeup today in the studio and will upload a photo of Angela, gal at school/work that let me do the demo on her today. I really love creating this part of my blog and excited to learn more about it.
Tomorrow..well, I am going to be a demo for Christa in sugaring.. nuff said there haha and Friday get to do a TCA peel... whohohooo more excited than ever for that one! I will update photos of the before and after on the TCA peel. I am really excited to work on my master esthetician and learn more about that.
I made a blog for the studio today at school..here is a link if you are interested in following it. I will help them keep it posted and updated through out my time there:

Happy New Year
Okay Happy Thoughts...a few today, I got to work again with an amazing group of gals and a few guys.. and wish like crazy it could be just that little group all the year round haha.. sometimes every job is hard but, there are positive things that happen we just need to watch for them and that is the goal this year!
School is all ready for the students to come back and we are excited for a New Year with a great list of activities coming our way. The biggest is the MST Trade Show coming February 28th and March 1st. The list of vendors and professionals are unreal and I can't wait to meet some of them.
A few are: Damien Carney and Sue Pemberton from Pivot Point teaching a DF class that I can't wait to see. Manuel Rodriguez and Yolley Ven Koppel, Trang from Odysey Nails will all be teaching classes for the students in the valley as well as professional level classes. There will be booths from Joico, Pivot Point, Elan Lashes, Odysey Nails, Konad, Donna Bella, Alexandria, Spa Girl and more. We will be holding a few competitions in the school that we get to start this week preparing for that I can't wait to see results from including a huge runway show that the students will be competing in for top prizes from Pivot Point, Joico and Odysey Nails. A special surprize competition will be held as well but, that is on the shhhh requirements for a couple more weeks.
The school will be running several of the booths and product will be sold to the public for professional prices during the event along with a ton of prizes and on the spot training available.
I am sooo stoked!!!
We will also be doing a special fund raiser event during the show for abused women and children that I will follow up with details about as the time gets closer.
Watch for a new blog coming from the studio of MST students along with you tube video's and commercials about how awesome our curriculum and talent bursting at the seams from MST.
I can't wait!!!

Week one almost done!!!
WOW!!!! how do you say overload.. we have learned so much this week I feel absolutely overwhelmed. I know that it will get easier as I do more hands on and having a blast learning everything.
So far I have done a ton of manicures and today passed them off so that I will be doing them on clients.. so if you are in the area and want a manicure call and schedule with me!!! hehe
I have done my first shampoo and style on a client.. scared me to death but, it turned out cute and was way fun to do.
My doll head has been officially renamed from Debra to Brun Hilda (go me, hehe) and she has undergone the torture of my hands already.. she has had pin curls, finger waves, her first style.. oh my don't ask!!! shampoo and today was set in my first roller curl. I keep forgetting to charge my camera and take it with me but have it on the list tomorrow and a girl there has been taking a few pictures that hopefully I can get copies of as well.. I can't wait to scrap it all!!!!!!
Everyone there is so friendly and helpful and the instructors are all so patient and willing to go step by step with this unexperienced GRANDMA!!! I am really having fun getting to know everyone and really looking forward to the weekend to let it all soak in and relax.
My biggest issue is missing the kids and Jeff.. I have never not been here when they are here and doing things and think about them all day. Kassi has been so sweet to get up every morning and wish me good luck and even drew me a picture to take the first day. Jeff sent me flowers to the school first day and made everyone super jealous and came and brought the kids and took us out to lunch yesterday ... It was yummy, we had Thai food. Savana keeps me informed on her through calls each day and comes in to see me whenever she is in Logan and that is awesome. I miss Kacee.. she is the one that I don't get to see hardly at all as she works swing shift and is gone when I get home and still sleeping when I leave. She texts me though all day and gave me the sad news that she has to work again this weekend so I don't get to see her then either.. But, it is only a short time.
Kassi is doing so good with her surgery now over, she only took pain meds on the first day of surgery and now is running around like nothing happened. I am so happy, as she has found a playmate that is so good for her and social needs. Her name is Ireland and they have become playmates almost every day!
Bug is a lifesaver, he has taken over all the chores, laundry and running little kids around. It is so great having him here as I know they are doing well.. He even cooks dinner every night~~
Josh is bored with summer already, but, he loves having Bug home and is spending some good quality time with him. He registers for football this weekend and has been doing some weight training with Bug a little each week (they are trying to get 6 packs!!)
Jeff is still working 12 hour days M-F and 10 hours on Saturday every day. He did get a day off this week, thank heavens. I so hope they get another pharmacist in soon as he can't keep up this many hours each week for too much longer..
Okay that is the catch up so far, whohooooo.. thanks for stopping and supporting me everyone!
lol

Home.. a good place to be!
We are finally home from our trip and we had sooo much fun. I loved the sun and soaked it in all week long. Some of us ended up with some wicked sunburns but all of them say it was worth it!!! I think Bug ended up the worst. I have to get the pics off of my dad's camera and then will share the swollen sleeping man!!
Doing lots of catch up work and trying to get myself more organized and ready for the summer. Always so many things to catch up with and deal with when you come home from a trip isn't there.. sometimes I wonder if it was worth going especially during the stresses of catching up.. but.. onward onward.. here we go!!!
Have a great rest of the week everyone!

So Monday night I decided to take the kids on a walk about 8:00.. all went fine.. no biggie, I thought.. ugh.. Got almost home and started to have this burning and itching sensation all over my arms and back.. so as soon as I got home I hopped in the shower but, then I started to break out in hives by now I was really hurting and not too happy.. couldn't figure out what the heck was going on. I had a really strong taste in my mouth and burning in my nose as well. I took a valium that I had left over from one of my surgeries because I couldn't find any dang benedryl.. About 9:20 Jeff came home and I was not in good shape at all, he found the benedryl which of course was right under my nose and I took 2 of those. I then decided to try to sleep and lie down and took the rest of my nightly meds.. one just happens to be ambien.. right as I swallow it Jeff says.. ummm don't take your ambien.. oops.. soooo... Yes I slept very well and into the next mid morning actually... Tuesday I was still burning and itching and then we figured out what it was.. There is a farmer here by us that has one of the ammonia tanks for his fields he uses. I must have had a reaction to it (I have had them before) and not realized.. ugh... not a fun couple of days!!!
Soo.. today I had to go to the dentist.. as many of you know this is one of my greatest fears.. I despise going and am well known to pull my own tooth out instead of going.. but, I did it.. got a crown on and scheduled for my next set of work. I also have to go back to the specialist today for repairs on my bone graph that was done last year.. the dentist walked me over to the specialist office and said.. get her in today so she can't get out of it.. haha
At least it can't be worse right!!!!
ok.. I am off my complaining box and ready to hear something good.. so let me at it!!

Announcement... Baby!!!!!!!!
Most of you know my Daughter Savana and her hubby Trevor. They have been through quite an experience in their short marriage and we are sooo grateful for the blessings of Trevor's transplant and new life. They have been married almost 3 years now and were told that they most likely would not be able to have children.
Well today I got a phone call at 6:00 am.. Savana was crying on the other end and immediately I thought the worst and thought that Trevor had a rejection to one of the new organs... Nope...
She got a positive pee test!!!!!!!!! after a busy morning and quite emotional one at that we are confirmed...
Savana and Trevor are having a BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What a gift!!!
YES I did take pictures of the 2nd positive test and kept the receipts and YES we are already planning the page to announce the news!!!!
I am gonna be a GRANDMA!!!!!!!!!!

Secret Has Been Revealed about TTS!!!
I have toyed with many thoughts and things that I would like to see in the site.. I have looked into what would happen if..... lots of ways, of areas....
This obviously started as a great and exciting adventure to me... It was a dream that I have had for many many years and because of some dear friends it was made possible.
Life is all about change and sometimes if handled correctly then change can be good... Sometimes change can cause hardships and we all know about that. This site has gone through some major ups and downs and has come close to having to close its doors.
I had some heart to heart discussions with a couple of very very close friends and then with my husband.
Now you can tell friends somethings.. but husbands.. anyway mine.. I can really share all my gut with.. he can help me sort through things and help me with perspectives and ideas on how to reach goals etc. He is obviously my biggest support and a wonderful man that has bailed me out not only financially with my business but emotionally as well.
After talking with my hubby, I have realized a few things.. I know who my firends are and what they do for me.. they are an inspiration that other than my family is most important to me in my life. Most of those friendships have come from this site and this community. I am honored to call you all my family.. I don't want to loose this dream.. I want to fight until the very end to make it successful and am determined that is what I will do. We will succeed...
Some of the changes that are going to happen are big changes.. the site overhaul is a big overhaul.. the design work will be different.. we will have more advanced features and a very competive opportunity to work with. This has come to be more of a reality than ever this week as I have worked with the new webdesigner in planning and seeing the first mock up of the site..
I have decided that with the change it is like starting over.. a fresh chance for us to really make it what I dreamed it would be from the start. It is in our reach now and with that I have decided that the time to make the change should go all the way... A fresh new start...
So... with that I have decided that I want to also Start over with a new name to the site.. There are many many treasured memories with TTS the name, and they were shared and grew to a wonderful community. I have thought and thought and talked and talked about it for so long it is time to make it all changed, now is the best time to do that with the site upgrade to a dedicated server, new design and hopefully new dreams that will cooincide with the ones I had with TTS.
My dream is not to be a huge site that is impersonal.. but, one that is healthy, loving and most importantly finacially stable enough to not have to rely on my poor hubby to bail me out each month!!!
My biggest and everyone else's love of this community is us.. the people in it .. and those people are the ones we want to bring to the community.. and we can do it!!!
So... with all that... thank you all so much for all your support... and here is the name of our new site and new start...

What a Week!!
Wow what a whirlwind week this has been... Kassi has been sick off and on for about a week.. she seemed better yesterday so I sent her to school.. She came home from school and had a really red hot rash all over her stomach, legs and arms... I was sooo upset for sending her to school... This morning it was worse so we called the dr and got her in.. yup, she has strep.. I am one of those people who get so irritated when people send their kids to school sick knowing they are sick.. and her I send Kassi.. of course I didn't know but I feel horrible to have sent her. She also has very very sensitive skin and so we need to get her a medication for that and change to dye free soaps and a lotion to help with the dryness during the winter months...poor little one.. I feel so bad for her.. On the plus side I think that through this we might have found a better dr..I was impressed with him and so was Jeff. He was super nice and very thorogh.
Now for some TTS news.. there is a big big secret that is going to be revealed next month and I am sooooo excited about it... I can't wait for the reveal and really hope that this will help us change things for the better with all that has happened this last few months. I am excited to have a start over and looking forward to the challenges that it will bring. So make sure that you check often there as there will be some major changes starting in about 2 weeks... whohohooooooooo
Again, another shout out to all those gals at TTS helping out.. Nancy, Laura, you two are amazing.. I have never seen two people work so hard to pull things back up so quickly and do it so successfully. I appreciate and love all my gals there but these two really have gone over the top to make things ok... thank you all sooo very much!!! you will be happy with all the new surprizes coming to us..

Don't Pass out but I am blogging!!!
Yes, it has been way way too long since my last post and so many things have happened that there is no way that I could ever post them all..
I just wanted to do a little shout out for my awesome team at TTS.. we have been going through some major changes with the site and everyone has been so supportive and caring.. Thank you all sooo much.
Family notes... Bug is loving college and doing a fantastic job. He just got the honor of being named Sigma for his class in the Sigma Chi that he pledged for and it is a great honor for him and wonderful accomplishment.
Kacee is doing so fantastic with her photography that it is getting hard to even get an appointement with her... we are so proud of her skills.
Savana and Trevor and the kids are all doing amazing and loving their new chance at life. They are truly blessed.
Kassi and Josh are busy with dance and wrestling and bball.. Josh is in a traveling league for bball and we start this weekend with the games. We went to the jazz game last night and they both had a blast.
Jeff is doing much better with his health issues and we are glad that the dr caught the problem before a big stroke hit him. The little ones did not do any damage that they can see from the test results and I am counting my blessings for that. So so scarry to even think about what could have happened.
I am doing really well after my surgery and a special thanks to my family and friends that helped me through. Sorry to all my customers who came by while I was heavily sedated and I had some interesting (oh my) conversations with... Hahha apparently I was very entertaining.. Tomorrow is my 6 week recovery date and I go back to the dr on Monday for my final appt. whohoooo back to the gym here I come!!! I can't believe how much I have missed exercising!!
Don't forget to check out TTS... Vickie is having a 70% off clearance sale and Robin is having a 30% off sale. Dawn is also having a close out sale and there will be big surprises on Black Friday.
The paper store is all brand new.. so many new products to choose from that you won't know where to start.. And SEI is sponsoring the site with a huge contest!!!!!
Thanks tons everyone!!!

I have a Disease!!!!!!
"C.A.H.D.
I want to tell you about a recently discovered (by me) syndrome – Craft Attention Hyperactivity Disorder, or C.A.H.D.
Symptoms include flitting from one craft pursuit to the next, creating stuff like crazy, and making a huge mess in your craft area (that would be the ‘disorder’ part)." Found on Tamara Morrison's Blog
I discovered today the name of my disease!!!! has anyone else got it? whohoooo I feel so good knowing its name and that other people have it too!!!! hehehe
I am taking an online class this summer by Stacy Jillian at BPS and the instructer this week shared the disease on her blog.. I instantly felt happy to know that there is a name!!!!
How is summer going for you all gals... are you as busy and swamped as I am... Life has got to slow down soon heehee .. but then what Fun would that be right!!
Hope everyone is doing good and I am off to check out TTS for the day!

Trevor is back in the hospital
They had to take him back in on Saturday because they thought he had a hernia. It ended up being an infection that was around the kidney and they seem to have that cleared up for the most part but, now there is a fluid coming from the pancreas area and are still there trying to make sure all is ok. They seem confident that he will be okay and said that he was very smart to call the dr when he did and get in as it could have been much much worse.
They appreciate your prayers and contstant thoughts very much and I will keep you updated as I can.
thanks again everyone!

Message from Trevor and Savana
At the hospital yesterday we were all sitting around and talking about how amazing all of the progress has been with Trevor. Most of the transplant patients are doing fairly well and recovering as expected. However, Trevor is by far the one that everyone is amazed with. He is doing so well that they think he will actually be leaving the hospital either tomorrow or the next day. When the nurse came in and asked him why he thought he was doing so amazing he said.. I dont have to think about it I know ... There are thousands of people all over the world praying for us and they are my angels.. They know how to pray and that is the only reason I have survived this and am now doing so well.. They won't let me give up.
Then he turned to me and said.. Please tell them all thank you so much, he says "I feel their prayers, literally every breath I take" You are all angels and your faith in him is what made him have this second chance.
I thought that all of you would like to hear these words... You truly do not know how much you have effected our family and how grateful we are to all of our angels all over the world!!!
Trevor is still doing amazing.. He is so full of life already that we are in awe of his presence.. He has a great mission to fulfill on this earth we are positive and will never ever forget all of the prayers, thoughts and good wishes and vibes from everyone...
Thank you all so much!!!!

Trevor is out of ICU
They moved Trevor out of ICU today and he is doing absolutely amazing. Even the dr's are saying that it couldnt be any better than it is. His levels are perfect which means that both the kidney and pancreas are working perfectly and he is already walking the halls.
He is a bit uncomfortable with the tube down his nose and throat to get the gunk out of his stomach but, he says it is ok... not a big deal.
They both did some much needed capnapping today as the ICU unit is definately not a place for much sleep and they are in great spirits.
Ryson and Rylie are going to go see him in the hospital tonight and they are all excited to see the kids. Savana says Trevor is counting minutes to see the kids.. hehe she is too for that matter.
So... everything is going amazing and they definately appreciate and feel your thoughts and prayers everyone!!!
thanks so much.

News on Trevor
How do you say miracle??? OH my this is such an overwhelming experience.
I will just post from the beginning as so many of you are asking and it is easier to just keep it all in one place. Please post your love and wishes to them here and I will share them with Savana and Trevor at the hospital on each visit.
My dh and I decided to go for a little road trip over the weekend. We got up Sunday morning and packed the kids into the jeep and started for yellowstone for the night. Savana and Trevor weren't able to go as Trevor hasnt been feeling well enough to get out of bed much.
We kept in constant contact through text message through them all day though and things were just a normal boring day for Savana as Trevor slept. We had lots of fun going through yellowstone (even saw a grizzly bear!!!!) and headed home on Monday. Through the canyon we didnt have service for our phones but in each area we did then we kept in contact with Savana as we usually do.
Monday evening about 6:00 we were headed through a canyon and had lost service. I had texted Savana about 5:45 asking when Trevor was seeing the transplant team as he wasnt feeling well but hadnt heard back before we lost service.
When we got out of the canyon I had 2 urgent messages to call Savana. (Yes I was panicked) When I got her on the phone she said that the team had just called and there was a donor and to get to the hospital stat. They were already almost there and that was about 8:30pm.
At that point they werent sure whether the donor's organs were damaged but wanted him there in case it was good.
We got to the hospital about midnight and they were starting dialysis on Trevor to relieve the excess fluid he had, and given him so medication for helping to build up his system for the transplant and said that the organs of the donor were in perfect shape and a perfect match. They scheduled to start the surgery the next mid morning. Jeff and I went home and took care of things and was back to the hospital yesterday morning. We finally had our turn for the surgery at 6:00 pm and at 4:00 am this morning were done and I have never ever seen such a miracle.
His kidney started working instantly. The pancreas as well and levels have been perfect all the rest of today and the kidney is still working amazing. Savana joked with me this morning saying that she has never seen Trevor pee so much!!!
He is very very sore but, when we got to the ICU room expecting to see him all hooked up to a million tubes instead he was sitting up with a grin from ear to ear and both thumbs up. He said to Jeff, I MADE IT!!!! Savana started crying and Trevor started crying and they held each other crying for several minutes which of course got all of us crying.
This mornings recent update is that the pancreas is doing awesome. His levels are perfect and the kidney is functioning perfectly still.
Trevor is hurting (expected) but feels amazed that he is doing so wonderful. He will most likely be in ICU for 48 hours and then could be coming home in as few as 5 days!!! They let Savana stay with him all night and she is very emotional but so so so thrilled.
They both have asked me to tell everyone that your prayers and thoughts are being felt and heard and please continue to pray for the greiving families. There were 3 donors that gave life to 7 very needing individuals yesterday. The emotion in the waiting room is undescribeable. And I am sure that each recipient is feeling the same emotion that Trevor is feeling. Words cannot express that and until going through it there is no way to understand.
I am feeling so blessed to have been on both sides as my brother was a donor for 6 individuals and knowing that his tragedy gave life to those individuals gave us all comfort and still does. But now seeing the other side is such a humbling and gratifying experience to see.
Thanks so much for all of your support love and concern.
I will keep everyone posted and please keep continuing to pray and have thoughts for the organs to not reject.
lol

Update Update Update...
Months are just screaming by tooo fast for me to keep up.. But, a long over due post is needed and so here I am.
The first thing that everyone always asks about it Trevor so I will update you there first.
Trevor is still hanging in there as best as possible but, honestly is body is really giving out. He had a seizure this morning when his sugar dropped and that has Savana very panicked as she is so afraid to leave him alone. His sugar is dropping in seconds without warning about 5 times a day and there is nothing that has worked in stabalizing that unfortunately. I have had to go over about 3 times a week in mornings that Savana is working and he doesnt answer the phone and found him unconscience. I still am not used to this site as it is so scarry and it is definately a hard emotion to go through but, we have been blessed to be able to get him out of them so far and feel very grateful for this. He plain and simple needs that transplant and soon!!!! Thank you everyone for your support and prayers as they are very much needed and felt.
I have been super busy this month with the paper store and starting the classes that we decided to add to it. We have been thrilled with the response and have had a lot of fun despite the long hours and repetition of classes. Make sure that you check them out at the paper store as we keep them posted there. Most are even available for shipping.
The digi store is on fire at TTS... wow do we have some amazing designers and I am just thrilled with all their hard work and dedication... I truely feel honored to know and work with them. Wendi has done such a fabulous job keeping them all updated and going and I never could do all this without her.. She RAWKS!!!!
Last but, definately not least... Happy Happy Birthday to my DD Kacee!!!!! she is 19 today and it is hard to believe that 19 years ago today a little 3 lb girl entered my life.. what a blessing it is to have her with me on the site and part of our life... Bug has just walked in the door singing to her!!!!!
Here is a copy of the ad for the week!!!!

Life is a Whirlwind!!!
Can you remember the saying "Stop the world, I want off!!!" Oh my do I feel like that sometimes.. this month has been insanely busy and though it is all great I do feel a bit overwhelmed.
Kacee and I started at the gym this last week and it has been such a great thing already. We love it and are already looking forward to it every morning.
Bug is less than a month away from graduating and it has been so fun to watch him grow and excell this last year.. I am so proud of him.
Josh and Kassi are as good as always. Kassi just finished two dance reviews and Josh just finished Basketball and is anxiously awaiting the next sport...
Savana and Trevor are hanging in there. Trevor does dialysis every day for 4 hours and then goes to work in the afternoon. Savana runs kids all over as their mom works at nights as well and she takes over getting them to their places. She is also working at Alco and seems to enjoy it for the most part. She has been spending some of her evenings here with us while Trevor is gone and it is nice to have her around. Trevor is doing okay most days thankfully, however we still havent heard anything more on the transplant. I hope and pray each day that today will be the call. We are definately blessed to still have him here with us and hope that our luck and blessings with him will continue.
Pop on over to TTS and say hi and don't forget to join in on the fun for NSD there.

Here are a couple of Moments Captured the last little bit:

It seems that time just wont stop running from me lately. I have been trying to keep up with the site and all the changes and scrapping a little bit inbetween but defnately not as much as I would like to. I am trying to simplify life so that there is more time to focus on the stores now and hopefully that will make a difference on my family time and friend time.
Dont forget that the paper store is now 35% off all the time!!! It is awesome and full of great products.

AWESOME NEWS ON TREVOR!!!!!!
So as all of you know the last few months have been so horrible for Trevor and Savana and the whole family... Being taken off the list has been a terrible set back and Trevor has had a hard time not giving up.. But, we wont let him....
Here is the best news I have gotten in such a long long time!!!!!
Trevor had dialysis today and during dialysis called his coordinator for the transplant team to see if the "new" doctor he has was able to get him back onto the list...
Barb is his coordinator and she is an "angel"!!!!!
She said to Trevor... I just couldnt do it... they told me to take you off the list but, I just couldnt, something wouldnt let me... You were never taken off the list Trevor.. I just kept quiet....
Barb then told Trevor that the last transplant just got finished.. Trevor was second for that recipient to get the transplant but, it matched the first one perfectly and they were able to give the organs to him... But, now Trevor is first on the transplant list again for his section....
Trevor is hysterical... Savana is freaking out.... Me... I am a ball of tears... can't believe this miracle and once again am sitting here in humility to all of you and all your continued prayers...
He IS going to make it isnt he!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How do you say Proud MOM!!!!!!!
The last couple of months my son Bug has been endlessly filling out applications for scholarships, working on presentations for sterling scholar and has spent hours and hours of work preparing for a competition that was today...
He was named Sterling Scholar for the Drama/Theatre Dept for Bear River High School.
This in itself is a huge honor and he was thrilled as were we to be able to have this title to carry.
Today the Sterling Scholars for all the schools in the regions competed in their events for the next level for State. No one has made it past the region level in the Drama/Theatre dept for years t BRHS. And to be honest, we didn't expect him to be able to move on but of course encouraged, helped him prepare and listened to hours and hours of practicing..
He had to perform two short monologues about issues in society.. He chose to do a monologue from Shakespear on schitsofrinia and then another more serious one on Cerebral Palsey called "Inside Al" This was an extremly challenging role and was advised by several not to try it as if not done correctly could come across as "making fun" of the disease..
Bug researched and watched hours and hours of videos of people suffering from this disease and spent hours working with his Theatre coach and even more on his own trying to perfect the skill to share this without being demeaning anyone..
Last night he performed it for the last time to his dad and I while we felt great pride in his accomplishment and told him no matter what happens he has done an amazing job and to be proud of all he has learned.
Today.. 3:00 pm.. he calls me one more time for moral support before going into the interview..
4:00 pm.. calls again.. "I did pretty good mom, didnt mess up or say "um" once through the whole thing.. I even made them laugh.. !!!
They were to announce the winners tonight at midnight.. All night long we have been anxious but, yet trying not to be too hopeful for the announcement..
Well before going to bed one last time I refreshed the screen... There is a picture of my son squinching his eyes and clearly "freaking out" or trying "not to" right before his interview.. Still no announcement though.. just the story about the kids doing the competition.. So.. I go up to get him out of bed to at least show him he got the front page picture...
We get back to the computer hit the screen and there is the announcement.. now as we scroll down.. we are holding our breath... All of a sudden there it is.. Jorgen Madsen... top 5 finalist!!!!!!!!
WHOHOHOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! WTG BUG!!!!!! your hard hard work has paid off, you are going to STATE!!!!!!!!!
check it out here!!!

When I need hope.. here you are...
The last couple of weeks have been a real struggle for me. I know that when things dont seem to go right I get down and feeling sorry for myself and lately for my Savana and Trevor and their little family. I have a hard time excepting God's plan when it doesnt make sense to me sometimes. Like why would a man with so much love and future be going through this horrid nightmare. Why would his two little children have to face each day with the worry of not having their daddy with them for their lifetime.. And why does my daughter have to face a fear of being without her husband after only just finding the happiness she so well deserves. So.. the last few months I have struggled up and down with a very real anger towards God for doing this to this litte family.
I know that we are blessed, it is abundant all around us. So many people have supported Trevor and Savana, and so much love has come through all of this. My heart knows that but, I must admit that sometimes I still resent the fact that God is allowing this to happen.. I know this is my own struggle, and that there are many of you that have given words of wisdom and love to help get through these days. I so appreciate all of you and all your efforts to help our family and most importantly the compassion and love that you give to people you don't even know. The blessings just from that are so wonderful and such an uplift to me.
Once again this week I have struggled, why are they going through this, why do them have to take Trevor off of the transplant list and what right does a doctor have to say to him he is not following guidelines when he is not able to control the blood pressure.. (the reason they gave for taking him off the list this week) when the hospital crew has not been able to control it themselves even using iv medication.. One dr. disagrees with another dr, one dr. contradicts another dr. All the dr's blame a different dr for the problem but the only thing that happened because of the disagreement was a loss of hope from Trevor that he will ever survive this horrid disease.
And then, I finally get my nerve up and ask God again why and cant you please give some comfort.. And then, something like the last couple of days once again humbles this stubborn soul I have. People are sharing this story all over the world, support is coming out of nowhere, friendships are being given me from people I would never have met and support and compassion once again is everywhere.
This post might not make much sense.. But, for me, I needed to write my feelings, to help me to recognize God's work.
Thank you all of you that have rekindled this effort to help Trevor again. What angels you are.. I have said since the beginning of this adventure, I am surrounded by angels.. God is definately trying to show me that each and every time my soul tries to give up...

Update on Trevor
Well.. Trevor ended up in the ICU unit this week.. He started to have Grand Mall Seizures, with Blood Pressure 244/180 at one point.
He got sent down to the IMC hospital on early Monday morning about 4:00 am after not being able to do anything here.. they started at the hospital here in town at 2:00 am
He was in ICU until yesterday and now in a regular room.. They have done major drug changes and increases to help the bp and he has to go at least 24 hours without spiking bp to be able to go home.
The transplant at this point has been put on hold, he might have to start at the bottom of the list again but, there is a difference of opinions as of today between nepherologists as to the cause of the bp spiking and so they will be meeting about this decision this week aparantely.
It has been a very trying and scarry week to say the least. He is doing well now though, thank heavens to many many prayers. We appreciate your support and love so much.
Savana is doing pretty good. I talked her into coming home at night the first two days but then nurses werent checking his blood sugars and giving him his medications on time etc and she wouldnt leave him after that. She told me that yesterday he was watching the football game and doing the happy dance (literally) because his team was winning and was wishing she had a video camera of him shaking his tushy...He is back to his spunky self and making sure that the staff knows he wants to go home so that is a good sign.
There was no permanent damage to the seizures, luck again, but for a while he did loose some balance, eye hand coordination and was a bit slow soaking in things. now he seems fine which is so unreal to me after seeing him the beginning of the week.
I will keep you posted as much as I can.
lol

HE IS ON THE LIST!!!!!!!!!
IT IS FOR REAL... TREVOR IS ACTUALLY REALLY ON THE TRANSPLANT LIST...WHOHHOOOOOOOO!!!!!
He had to have surgery today to remove the cathetar from the parateneal(bad spelling sorrry) dialysis.. the one that is done at home.. This dialysis wasnt working so they started him on the hemo-dyalisis this last month.. now the old cathetar was causing problems.. actually got wrapped around he intestines and so they did surgery today to remove it.. He is doing ok.. had alot of pain an had trouble with his blood pressure but doing better...
Well good news is while in the hospital they actually got word that he made it on the list!!~!!!!!!!!!
I was so excited I freaked out... It is such an answer to so many many people's prayers.. thank you everyone who joined in...
Now they will start the matching process tomorrow and hopefully it wont be too long of a wait. Since he needs both a pancreas and a kidney, is in good health other than this.. and is so young, and a great blood type.. he is definately in good standing for all the necessities... The dr's cant say how long but, he is on 24 hour call and notice..
We ask everyone to please continue to pray that a donor will come soon and that Trevor can keep hanging in there until it is ready....
We love you Savana and Trevor!!!!!

The Kit is out FINALLY!~!
Whohohoo you can now get the kit for Trevor and Savana and it is so beautiful... There have been so many people working so hard for this and so much has happened this last month that I think those involved are going to just sleep for a month while you all enjoy the great kit.
Great news for Trevor is that his job was willing to work with him and transferred him to a shift that was perfect for him to be able to do his new dialysis and therefor be able to keep the huge need of his Insurance.. We are so thrilled with this as it is so important to have that 2nd insurance.. WE hope that by the end of December he will be able to be on the list.
That is great news for everyone...
Make sure that you visit TTS and look at the awesome work the girls have done with layouts for Savana and Trevor.. the are amazing!!!!!
Thanks so much everyone!!!

Amazing people in our world!!!!
After Kacee posted the requests for cards the next few days were a whirlwind... First Laura Burger posted it at DST and then Junianas decided to start a collab kit in efforts to raise money for Savana and Trevor.. I am absolutely amazed at all that is happening.. There is a huge team of people from Designers to CT to coordinators all pulling together to make the most amazing kit I have ever seen in my whole life!!!! Wait till you see this creation..It will be sold at TTS and a few other stores that I will share once it is available.. The details are all being finished now.
This kit is over 2GB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There are over 200 papers and at least that many elements so far! We are having to find somewhere to host the kit just so that we can get it to all of you.. The designers are all top notch and you will not be disappointed.. This is so amazing!!!
My heart is just so full.. People have sent cards, donated time and money and we are so amazed that a little quest for cards has brought such an overwhelming love and compassion to our family.
A big thank you from all our family!!!!

Cards for Encouragement Needed...
My son in law, Trevor, is back in the hospital for the 3rd time this month.. If you dont know their story let me share a little with you..
Trevor and Savana (my oldest dd) met a couple of years ago and fell in love almost literally on their first date. They were married 6 months later and are so very happy.. Trevor has 2 adorable kiddos, that are actually very close in age with my youngest two adopted kiddos and they are the best of friends.
Trevor has diabetes.. he has had this horrid disease since he was just a young child and has been insulin dependent for over 20 years. However, he was doing great until January this year.. 9 months after they were married.. He started to get sick, have seizures and his blood sugars started to be uncontrollable.. This is when he started to go to the doctors and we found out that his kidneys and pancreas were starting to fail. The first things that all the drs pushed for him to do was to prepare for the transplant list. The things required to be able to be on the list took up until October to finish.. They finally finished the last thing needed and were told that they are now denied for the transplant due to not having a secondary insurance.
Now, Trevor has gone through several surgeries, hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of prepatory treatments for the transplant and now is on complete dialysis. He has been doing dialysis at home now for the last couple of months. This past week he started to see yellow and was taken to the hospital yet again. They did surgery this morning to put the cathetar into his chest for hemo dialysis, which he will have to go to the hospital 3-4 times a week to do. This, is a hard blow, he will now have to quit the job that he has been literally killing himself to do because they needed the secondary insurance. He had to make it until Dec 9th to qualify for the insurance at this job.
We have gone to every resource that is possible to get help.. nothing is working... When they finally got onto medicaid they lost it as the medicaid team told them to apply for medicare.. as soon as they were accepted on medicare they were taken off of medicaid immediately.. this was about 5 months ago.
Right now Trevor is extremely sick, they think other organs are now starting to shut down. He is extremely discouraged and starting to give up. Savana is beside herself with grief.. Mind you she is only 22 years old, while all of her friends are getting married and starting their families, she is trying to keep her husband alive and positive and fighting for life..
Kacee my second DD, Savana's sister has started a Quest for encouragement cards for both of them.. If you would like to send a card of encouragement we would love to share them with them.
You can send the cards to:
Trevor and Savana John,
11080 North 5600 West
Tremonton, Utah

or digitally and I will print them off and take them to the hospital at
sppt@treasurestoscrap.com
thank you everyone for helping us to keep him fighting for life!!!!
Here are a couple of layouts I did for them so you can have a face with the cause:
