Having a mom in cosmetology has its perks, but, it also means you have to be a model for several trial runs in the field. Kassi is always eager to help me learn by being my model to practice on. This is her helping me out to get ready for a fantasy makeup class I had to teach. Credits: Wild Child in a good way, Laura Burger Designs, Template is Tinci's May template challenge which is available at PBP ! Font is spacey. Wild Child in a good way is in the pickle barrel!!! Savana and here little one in San Diego at the beach. Sierra had such a good time and mommy loved showing her the beach. Precious Dancer

This is my youngest daughter Kassi, she loves to dance and this is at one of her competitions this year. The kit I used is calle Celebration of Love by Laura Burger Designs which is one of the most gorgeous kits I have worked with. The elements and papers are perfect for the photos of special memories. I also used a template by Dawn Inskip. Here is a link to Laura's new kit, Celebration of Love: https://www.pickleberrypop.com/shop/...t=0&page=1
My precious granddaughter Sierra-Anne in one of the dresses my mum made for her mommy's dolls before she passed away. Sierra was small enough to fit into it for a few short weeks after she was born. I used Laura Burger's new kit, Celebration of Love. This kit has delicate and beautiful elements and papers. Perfect for those special memories. I started with a template but only ended up using a piece with the stripe paper, the template was a Dawn Inskip design. Have you seen Sierra?

Here are some photos I took of Sierra this last week. She is so adorable!

Who knew??

Life could have so many changes and be so good at the same time? I am loving my new job and feel like I am in school all over again ( which is what I asked for, so be careful what you ask for). So many new things to learn and though it is good it is a challenge for sure.. Some days I feel like a kindergartner with a pair of paper scissors and trying to cut an impossible new straight line and then other days i feel on the top of the world and excited because I know how to do something that I thought I knew. Love love love learning and definitely doing so!

Back to work... haha

So...not really able to concentrate much in January..It was such a great day on January 20th 2012 at 7:15 pm and it has been amazing every day since. I am so honored and humbled by my now RM Bug. He is my hero!!! more to come about all his wonderful adventures..I am going to start updating his blog with all the pictures he sent home and stories from afar.

I have been trying to work on my New Year Goals for work this last couple of weeks and did a few things that I wanted to share.

One of my goals is to do all of the color projects in my color book with the real color and not just mock them. Another is to do 15 sets of nails and get "good" at them..Here are a few pics of what I did this last couple of weeks.

12 days!!!

Bug will be home in 12 days, can you believe it? At church today talking with the counselor in the bishopric I had a little bit of heart failure while making arrangements for his homecoming...what if he is disappointed in me, what if he wants to turn and run the other direction...what if...what if...sigh...I am really holding my breath and hoping that all will be well and he will be as excited to spend time with us as much as I am.. Or at least a little. One of the things I need to work on is self doubt and realizing I am of worth and I am sure that part of these feelings are just a way for the adversary to put me down.. Being a mom that my kids were happy with and proud of has always been my hope, I am defiantly one of the most blessed women as my kids are all amazing and such great individuals..

So....January 20 th. 7:15 pm...life will change a little bit all over again...I can't wait for this change!!

Fun day with Savana

I spent the day trying to boost up Savana today..we did her hair, sugared and makeup and nails. I practiced what I learned from the color class my work hosted a couple of weeks ago on her color which worked like a charm!!! I forgot to get a photo of her nails but here is a before and after of her hair and makeup. It was lots of fun even though Tyson wasn't as happy about the experience as his mommy was!! haha
