Remodeling...
And let the fun begin.....sigh...hehe
So we have a couple of projects going on right now. We are refinishing the kitchen floor...put the last coat of varnish on tonight..did one right after church this morning and one last night. Each time you put varnish on you have to sand in between..and then of course the big sanding job with the floor sander was done yesterday afternoon. Oh my...it looks brand spanking new and absolutely gorgeous!!! I will take pictures of it tomorrow. We have to wait 3 days before we can move anything back on though so a few more days of take out coming our way most likely.
I want to repaint the walls and the trim before the end of the month and finish off with a good deep cleaning and throwing out the old etc. I see maybe some new kitchen dishes, and utensils etc while I throw out since it has been ummm 28 years since we have had kitchen supplies. we definately need to get some new rugs which I am going to go look for tomorrow when I take the sander back to Logan.
next project is Kassi's bedroom.. we refinished the walls, patched up all the holes and went with a color scheme that matches her bedroom set. There is bright orange, which we painted one wall, bright green, which we painted the opposite wall and then blue which we will paint the trim..and white white...which we painted the other two walls, doors and ceiling. We have all the walls and ceiling done and I will do the trim tomorrow. I then want to put big colored circles on the white walls that match the decor of the bedroom set... they have stripes and circles on white of the colors.. It is turning out so freaking cute!!! I love it and so does she and oh it feels good to have fixed walls without holes in them..She has sworn to her dad not to put any more holes in the walls.
Josh's room has the color scheme picked out but not quite ready to start it.. he is a lot more daring with purple red and silver...ummmm we shall see how that goes!
I also redid Kassi's hair today and finished up a layout. so pretty good day!

scrapbook communities
I havent been on a scrapbook community for several years (since I shut down OSS) and thinking maybe I will give it a try...
I have a couple of sites that I stalk a few of my favorite designers and think that maybe I will check them out. Right now I have only been doing digi layouts except for teaching my AAM layouts at the school...sooo...
What are your favorite places everyone... where is a good and safe place to hang and get some fun challenges and learn new tricks from...I am rusty of course so will need lots of support hahaha!!!

Sunday...
After getting home from church today I looked at my email and had the following message from Sister Hartman.. I hope someday I can meet this couple in person..what amazing people they are.
Dear Tracy - I am so glad you enjoyed the video postcard. Your son was even better than you described. He is absolutely delightful. His personality and his smile are so contagious. We were able to spend a couple of days with them and it was wonderful. You can be very proud of your son and the work he is doing. He is so positive and happy, we really enjoyed him. He and Elder Slater picked us up several times, we had dinner with them one night and they even accompanied us to the airport. My husband was able to spend more time with him and said "Elder Madsen has an amazing heart and a bright future ahead of him."
I did do the kissing hand - he blushed and laughed but I could tell he was very touched - and knew just what it meant. He loves you and couldn't say enough about you and his family.
We had such an incredible trip - truly a memory that we will never forget. The people were so wonderful and kind. (Your son translated for us several times and did a great job with the language as well.) I am so happy we had the opportunity to meet him. I will be posting some pictures sometime this weekend on our blog - if you would like to see them.
Have a great day - know that your son is safe, happy and doing a great job serving his Heavenly Father.
